Taste of China Restaurant in Oklahoma City presents itself as a sprawling buffet spot that blends Chinese cuisine with a broad array of other flavors, making it less a specialty restaurant and more a destination for variety seekers. Located on South Western Avenue, this place thrives on offering a large, all-you-can-eat experience that appeals especially to families, groups with varying tastes, and anyone who enjoys exploring multiple dishes in one sitting.

The atmosphere is lively and often quite busy, particularly during lunch and holiday brunch times. Expect a bustling dining room where seating is communal and the energy comes from the mix of conversations and the rhythm of guests moving between buffet stations. While it’s not a quiet or intimate place, the environment suits those looking for an informal meal with plenty of options rather than focused fine dining.

In terms of food, the variety is the main attraction. The buffet stretches across several cuisine styles—from traditional Chinese offerings like Sweet and Sour Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, and Mongolian BBQ Udon Noodles, to sushi, pizza, and even a dessert station featuring a chocolate fountain, gelato bar, and cakes like chocolate pie and flan. Crowd-pleasers like crab legs and fried shrimp add some surf-and-turf heft, while vegetarian dishes such as Buddha’s Feast and string beans provide options for vegetarians or lighter eaters.

Service here is practical and friendly, geared towards keeping the buffet replenished and guests comfortable despite peak-time crowds, although some popular plates may run low before being refilled. The pricing system can be a bit confusing, especially for families with children, since charges vary by age, so it can catch first-time visitors off guard.

This restaurant fits well for casual group dining, especially when the goal is to sample a wide range in one meal or please picky eaters with diverse preferences. It’s a convenient spot for a relaxed lunch or a large celebratory meal where diners don’t have to commit to just one cuisine or dish. Weekends and holiday meals will be busiest, so visiting during weekday lunch times might offer a more comfortable pace.

Overall, Taste of China serves as a filling, bustling buffet where food diversity takes priority over culinary nuance—ideal if you’re in the mood to eat freely without fuss and enjoy a colorful spread under one roof.

Good service, Good food. My favorites were to two stops Desserts on top and Hibachi being second. Both of them were amazing. Would recommend going there if you are looking for a whole lot and a bunch of options. Only concern is the naming of dishes. It would’ve been nice if they provided names of the dishes properly and for every dish. Besides that I liked almost everything in this place. Huge, decent crowdy and whole lotta servers( understandable). Good place!

Went here for Thanksgiving brunch! Plenty of options to choose from.....some of the popular dishes were not refilled as quickly as it probably should have....no ice cream selections unfortunately. Overall it was good! We plan on going back Christmas eve. Let's see how it is!

First time visiting this buffet and it was nice. We went for lunch and it was VERY BUSY. I thought since it was a buffet the prices would be set, but they charged me different prices for each of my children. The hostesses asked their ages and I assume based off their age was how I was charged. The food was good. So good that whenever I went to get some orange chicken it was always out! I really liked the spicy chicken and the chicken dumplings ! The garlic dinner rolls were very soft and there was plenty of deserts! My favorite was the pecan pie. The ice cream station was awesome, plenty of different flavors including coffee flavor with chocolate chips! My girls loved the chocolate fountain where they dipped fruits and marshmallows. We Will definitely come back.

Absolutely the best buffet i have ever been to. They have almost everything on the planet in there to eat. I ate so much i dont think i can eat for a week. The staff are friendly and helpful. My daughter is a very picky eater. She found so much stuff she wanted to eat I swear we were there for almost 5 hours waiting for her to get done eating. I have never seen her eat so much different kinds of food. Keep up the amazing work. We will be back when i save up enough money to bring all my children.
